ATMCH/MCH Navigator: Introduction to Literature Reviews
Thursday, February 3, 2022 2pm to 2:45pm
About this Event
As we focus our efforts on evidence-based/informed practice, we need to be fluent with the science distilled from the literature and the field. Literature reviews are key tools in this process by which a body of literature is classified using systematic methods that are intended to reduce bias and improve understandability.
Learn the basics and hear from colleagues who engage in different types of literature reviews as part of their work and research.
Presenters will discuss different types of reviews, including scoping, rapid, narrative, meta-analysis, and mixed studies. They will then lead a discussion summarizing the Ten Step Method used by the Community Preventive Services Task Force for their Community Guide. They will share their own experiences conducting literature reviews and explore tricks and tools for automating the process. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Limited to 300 participants, so register early (registration form is located at the bottom of the page)!
ATMCH has secured 1.0 CPH credit for participating in either the webinar or webinar archive. For more information, email Julie McDougal at jmcdouga@uab.edu.
