The UAB Marnix E. Heersink Institute for Biomedical Innovation and the UAB Mary Heersink Institute for Global Health will co-host a joint symposium titled Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Technology in Global Health: Bridging Divides on October 29 and 30, 2025. The event will take place at the Marnix E. Heersink Conference Center and will be offered in both in-person and virtual formats.

The symposium is co-hosted by Maastricht University, McMaster University, and Thammasat University and aims to explore the intersection of AI, technology, and global health while fostering international collaboration to address health disparities worldwide.
