The O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB & the National Marrow Donor Program present a free film screening event: "American Symphony: Become a Lifesaver." This 2023 documentary tells the story of best-selling author and cancer survivor Suleika Jaouad and her musician husband Jon Batiste as they face her leukemia recurrence and second bone marrow transplant. A panel discussion will focus on growing the national donor registry for blood stem cells and bone marrow and improving access to transplants.
