The inaugural "AI Nephrology Symposium" (Augmented Intelligence and Digital Health in Kidney
Care: A Multidisciplinary Symposium) is scheduled to take place on April 8-9, 2025, jointly with ATTIS at UAB.

The symposium will feature keynote presentations from renowned experts, panel discussions, and roundtable rotations. Young investigators and trainees, particularly from UAB as the inaugural host institution, will also have the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from established researchers.

In addition, the Annual Translational and Transformative Informatics Symposium (ATTIS), hosted by the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science, will provide cutting-edge updates and insights into bioinformatics research. Topics covered will include bioinformatics education, cloud computing, biomedical research, clinical genomics, and more—all with a focus on translating innovations into actionable improvements in human health.
