This In-Person-BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) workshop is designed to help staff and faculty use UAB's Copilot AI tools to the fullest. Through guided practice with both Copilot Free and Copilot for Microsoft 365 (Paid), you'll learn how AI can be used to enhance your data analysis and visualizations. Participants can come and go as needed.  
 
 Participants are expected to already have access to the tools used in this training: 
Copilot Chat: https://go.uab.edu/copilot   

Copilot 365 (requires Payment): https://go.uab.edu/365-copilot 

What You'll Learn 

  • First Half (Copilot Free): 9:00 am-10:30 am

    • Interpret survey results or feedback. 

    • Generate charts or summaries from pasted data. 

    • Ask questions about trends or patterns. 

  • Second Half (Copilot 365-Paid): 10:30 am -12:00 pm  

    • Excel: Natural language queries, formula generation, trend analysis. 

    • Power BI (if applicable): AI-assisted insights. 

    • Word/Outlook: Summarizing reports or data-heavy emails. 

Note: You do not have to stay for the entire training if only one section applies to you.
