About Our Guests
Rita Stewart-Hampton is the Director of the UAB Collat School of Business Career Center, overseeing daily operations. The center offers business students innovative programs and resources for career development. Rita joined UAB in June 2010 as the Associate Director of Employer Development, initiating enduring programs like Suit Up Collat and Employer Chats. Before UAB, she held leadership roles at Kellogg Sales Company, managing a team in the Southeast. With a 30-year career in industry and higher education, Rita is passionate about career progression for students and employees. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Jacksonville State University and an MBA from the University of North Alabama.
Copilot Andreia Stechmann is the Assistant Director of Employer Engagement for the UAB Collat School of Business Career Center. She manages relationships with employer partners and builds partnerships with stakeholders at UAB and in the community. She plans events like career fairs, networking sessions, and informal chats to connect students and employers. With 8 years of experience in recruitment and business development across various industries, Andreia brings valuable expertise to her role. Passionate about people, she has dedicated her career to connecting companies with talented business students at Collat.
