The Ensuring Access for All training workshop, delivered by Disability Support Services, is 1 of 2 workshops hosted during the Badge of Distinction: Accessibility. This workshop is open to all students.

The Badge of Distinction program offers student organizations an opportunity to earn up to 3 electronic badges to display on social media and Engage to demonstrate their value for diversity and inclusion, mental health, and/or organization operations. If at least two members attend a training marathon, their organization is eligible to receive the badge. They do not have to attend the same workshop.

What is a Training Marathon?

A training marathon is a one-day event where multiple workshops are presented. Each marathon provides student organizations with an opportunity to earn a Badge of Distinction for that marathon topic. Organizations can earn up to 3 badges by having at least 2 members attend a training marathon. Badges are uploaded to the organization's Engage profile and remain active for one year. All workshops are hosted on Zoom.

If you have questions about this training marathon, email abushery@uab.edu.
