Jayme Locke, M.D., professor of Surgery, Arnold G. Diethelm MD Endowed Chair in Transplantation Surgery, and director of the Division of Abdominal Transplantation Surgery, will present "Surgery, Science & Advocacy: Promoting Health Equity Across the Continuum of Transplant Care" during the 45th Reynolds-Finley Historical Lecture.

A reception will follow.

Dr. Locke is an abdominal transplant surgeon specializing in innovative strategies for the transplantation of incompatible organs, disparities in access to and outcomes after solid organ transplantation, and transplantation of HIV-infected end-stage patients. The annual lecture series aims to review, assess, and discuss various historical aspects of the health care sciences.

The lecture is part of the annual University of Alabama Medical Alumni Weekend and is co-hosted by the Medical Alumni Association.
