https://www.uab.edu/graduate/events/3-minute-thesisThe Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by Ph.D. students. Developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), the exercise cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
Active Doctoral and Professional Doctorate (Research) students are eligible to participate in 3MT competitions at all levels. Plan 1 Master's students are also eligible to participate, as long as the student's program of study contains an original research project. Graduates and postdocs are not eligible.
First prize is $1,000 and the opportunity to represent UAB at the Regional 3MT Competition.
