Celebrate 2024 GIS Day!

Register now to join us on the 4th floor of Lister Hill Library as we explore and celebrate the innovative applications of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology in the Sciences.

GIS plays a pivotal role across teaching, research, business, and health, helping users understand and visualize complex relationships, identify patterns, and add valuable geographic context to diverse data types. By informing decisions, fostering innovation, and highlighting the connections between location, health, and the environment, GIS drives progress in every field.

Our goal is to leverage this evolving technology to its fullest potential, ensuring geographic information is open and accessible to all. Lunch (pizza) and refreshments provided!

Note: You must scan a valid UAB ONE Card in the elevator to access the 4th floor.
