About this Department
UAB exists to make a positive difference in as many lives as possible by serving all people and promoting the success of all students, faculty, staff and patients. Universities are places of growth and learning, but also challenges. The barriers to success faced by members of the UAB community vary, ranging from the need for academic support and mentorship to health care and counseling services that help students, faculty and staff succeed.
